how's 2011 been for you?

I feel for all of you who've had (or are continuing to have) a tough year.

Been through several of those myself lately, so I'm chuffed to bits that this has been a truly special year.

(Finally) married the love of my life, had the most amazing wedding festival (if you ignore the emergency 999 and AA calls, chasing showers around a field and showering poo off the dog) and am so blessed with incredible friends and family, moved into a beautiful barn that I still can't quite believe we are lucky enough (ok, work hard enough!!!!) to wake up in every morning, and finally got some spare pennies through the company sale which for once I used to make the most sensible decision going - buying Arthur, joining this forum and meeting some of you lovely lot

 

Its been ok, sold a bus bought a bus, Camped in a bus for the first time, the second time and the 3rd
played with a Type 4 engine for the 1st time. Quite VW related really (god i' sad)

 

Same as most on hear really. This year has had some fab ups.. and some real lows but all in all it was ok .. survived lol .. still here to hopefully see in a new year

 

2011 i wouldnt give you 2 pence for it .... buisness has been really tough .. my sister in law died with cancer ..... .... the bus let us down for going to france and has been of the road longer than its been on it despite cost shed loads of dosh .. i have almost forgotten what its like to drive

2012 is alreday looking better with the arrival of our first grandchild


and our carbs could be back from being rebuilt any time now :laugh2:

 

Like most of you, it has been a bit of a rollercoaster year but Freedom Campers is really taking off now that we're in the new premises which is really fantastic and I finally got to meet crazycaver's virtual friends - i.e. you lot! Looking forward to 2012 and meeting some more of you.

 

I can't complain really about 2011 it's been much the same as the last few years
Working hard to pay the bills etc
lowest point was the wife going in to hospital for a double mastectomy and re-constructive surgery for preventative reasons
Highest point was my promotion at work even if I'm now a bit worse off every month due to extra travelling
On the VW front my bus needs more work than I first thought, but i have learn't myself some new skills and meet you lot on here , some of you I've even meet in person )

 

started fine but since Monday we have had my wife's farther die and been turfed out of our home
