how's 2011 been for you?

its been a very flat year, if that means anything?
business has been ticking over, had the best march/april ever but a slow summer, seems like we are having to work twice as hard to make the same money as previous years
fire service has been slowly getting worse and worse due to cuts and paperwork
about to celebrate my first wedding anniversary so that's good i suppose
my brother and missus had their 2nd child yesterday so i'm an uncle again which is awesome
bought me a house which is amazing
norwich are in the premier league and doing ok
tlb is slowly getting back up to speed!

 

There have been some brief moments that have been special (camperjam is one that springs to mind but not the only one) but on the whole this year has been the type that could only be described by words which are not allowed on this forum. I'm hoping that 2012 sees a change in this situation.

 

By far the hardest year of my life!

its been ok, nothing really stands out...i shouldnt moan so i wont, i'm healthy, fairly fit, my boys have grown into fine young men, my wife loves me unconditionally, my van is running well.....just seem to be lacking the fizz pop, looking forward to going to london shopping for Christmas next month......life is plodding along...room for improvement

 

I forgot to mention that I now have to shop at Iceland. Not such a bad thing I suppose because I've already started to save money by shopping there. I read that Tesco's profits have dropped by 14% so I'm sorry to them for going somewhere else

 

Not been easy, I have my health and family though which is all that really matters

 

first time I missed to tour de France this year [engine fire] ,work is great, my customers are great ,the pickup has preformed lovely ...The wife and kids are very settled ,dispite the wife`s best friend returning to blighty..my pride and joy the garden has come on and I have lots of flowers/trees to make me smile ,my health is very good ,not having any problems ,made lots of new friends and optomistic for the future.... >

 

Highs and lows, been looking for my Mojo really. Coming to the end of a 'career break' after burn out. taking a totally different direction. Just signed up on a course to p/u some new qualifications, start a little business..
Now just have to persuade me 'nearly ex' to give me a go :

Seems to be a theme on here of people thrown off balance and recovering. Good community this, very human..

: beginning of the year, marmite, ill for ages and nobody could tell me what it was, ok in the spring and summer and this week : can't say it's all been bad but the lows are lows, highs have been high!

My sister handed her notice in at work today because of all the aggro they've put her through. He husband phones as she gets back to her office and says that he's probably going to be made redundant in November, so marmite sandwiches in her house tonight

 

Ive started to figure out actually who i am and what i want for the first time in many years
so even though this year has had its up and downs i belive its the beggining of good years ahead
It certainly better than last year

 

Maybe a pants year every now and again to put things into perspective isn't a bad thing in the long run.

 

I've had better years & I've also had worse years.
