How many languages can you speak? (aside from English)

1stly let's get the Barney jokes out of the way.............He is the ONLY one fluent in Barnese. etc etc etc.

So are you a cunning linguist or do you just shout louder and speak slower in the time honoured British fashion?

Personally, I can read a French newspaper but lack the confidence to speak French openly, other than that it's schoolboy German.

 

none i struggle with english although i'm fairly good at understanding yam yam.
did spanish at school for 3 years and can muddle through a bit of reading it but can't really speak it much, i was too busy arsing about.
english is the language of kings, why bother.

 

I can speak English, surely I don't need another language

I used to be reasonable at French because we regularly used to go there to a friends house but I'm totally out of practice. Now it's like a foreign language to me!

Danish,,sweedish, english and a bit of german and spanish. first 2 is very simular to norwegian tho

 

My Norwegian friends say that The Swedish sound to them, like the Irish do to the English. Nearly correct but not quite.

 

English still learning, conversational French and very basic French Creole.
I believe French Canadians also sound "Irish" as they speak in an old French dialect.

 

And he's right. Danish is almost identical in writhting but sounds very different

I can speak a petit pois of french and i can say three diamonds in japanese

Apparently I am only 3 per cent fluent in French ,where I beat the kids is knowing building things and car things...

Got my nose to the grindstone learning French this winter....
