Sat nav only picks up fixed "safety cameras"!!! Not mobile cameras as barney says they do tend to hide them both French and Spanish police.
We are now just north of Seville. Wanted to say Thanks for all the advice on this thread which has proved accurate and useful. Our journey so far is covered in a recent post on www.SickBayDays.com if anyone wants to have a look. Thanks again all.
Buen viajes Sorry to hear about your dad, but not a bad way/age to go. We got pulled in France last year and had to follow the gendarmes into an aire to watch a safety video about road worker safety and there was the smashed up van and road workers that we apologised to for speeding. We were then offered a coffee and with a cheery au revoir went on our way Due to only basic French by us and basic english by the French I ended up speaking Spanish to a gendarme who also spoke Spanish Where is that camping with the statue @Sick Boy ? Planning to drive to Southern Spain in oct. Have a great trip and if you run into any trouble and need a translator I'm happy to help (tho I'm not fluent but not bad)
I would say enjoy your trip but seeing as you passed us and didn't stop even for a pee or a cuppa I won't bother. sent from the Charente-Maritime
Hi Must have been the same smashed up van The campsite was near Burgos, I will get the name as we plan to stop there on the way back, will tell you before October. Must be great to be able to speak Spanish!
In Biarritz now - going to drop in on @Tuesday.Wildchild tomorrow. @Merlin Cat the name of the campsite you asked about between Vitoria and Burgos is Camping Monumento al Pastor on the N1 It is superb. Just given it a write up in latest post on my blog.
