  3. i'll go with 9

there are certain things i am not happy with, but the bus shouldn't take the blame for my lack of money, time or skills.

Anyone who buys an old car (old-timer even), and expects to use it without giving it continuous attention is naive, and in the wrong hobby. Only those who accepted that f@ct can ever be satisfied with their bus.

  4. 9 because Colin's not pretty, but he is solid, and goes nicely, but as you say Poptop, this goes up and down week on week, but at the moment 9 is definitely justifiable :)

  5. shes lucky to get a 2 after the MOT yesterday :(

  6. At this moment in time is a 4.
more to do with other people...

    8 - its not perfect
    - because I still have a lot of jobs to do.
    - because after spending a lot of money on welding etc they still left some nasty rusty bits underneath.
    - because it is more fun than my other car.
    - because we have done 11k miles since 2010 and not yet had a ride on the yellow truck
    - because the progressive carb is better but still needs tuning
    - because I know why it spits oil everywhere so now I need to clean up the engine bay

  9. He's a Volkswagen Camper Van for chrissake and it's sitting in my drive - 5 points
Every time I get down I can go and sit in him and he cheers me up - 2 points
    It doesn't leak - 2 points
I can even drive him to someone else's drive and sit in it - 3 points
He's got a broken windscreen wiper motor - minus 0.5 points
The drivers door lock broke the weekend - minus 0.5 points

I'm still over the moon with 'Reggie'

  10. I would score mine at a 10, why you ask as it's in a pile of bit's on the drive well.............

I'm just really enjoying her at the moment
I'm learning and improving my skills while the resto continues, and she has introduced me to you lot on here
If i get just as much out of her once finished and on the road i we be well happy

  11. I forgot the best pointless answer of all time - introduction to the mob at TLB!!!

  12. 10 - and it's not finished yet

Mines a good strong basis for a rolling resto, but there's so much to do I sometimes feel daunted by it...

And yet to go camping!! Ask me again in 12 months and I hope she'll be an 8 :)

  17. 10 for Henry... :praise:

Over a five year period he has helped me to keep on top of things ,for the age of the pickup he has done an excellent job...

sadly Henry has been sat in the garden for the last month due to no fault of his own....

But will return like a pheonix one day... O0

  19. 2 at the mo, though just over a week ago a firm 10, cruising through the Norfolk countryside, smiles on all our faces even though it was poring down, that'll be before we broke down , 10 hour journey back to the smoke from Newmarket, been over a week trying to start her :(.
    Dizzy spat the dummy,
    Inlet boots let go,
Old dizzy wouldn't reach the dogs,
Does now but timing her up has been........ a bit frustrating.

So although I love her , and she is my mistress, a firm 2 until she's rolling again :)
