Help required from plumbers with Spanish boiler knowledge

There was a small black knobs underneath..... hadn't took my reading specs , so couldn't see it!

 

I must admit i recoiled in horror when I saw that picture. I couldn’t live with that in my house. I wouldn’t sleep.

 

Maybe there's a shortage of copper pipe and solder in Portugal?

Surprisingly, the Germans are just as bad. Why bother doing a bit of pipework when you can slap a flexi in?

As for plumbing (and electrics) in the US - it's like something from the 1930s...

 

Our old boiler was a ferroli and I managed to nurse it along for about 9 years then it started to lose pressure daily but easily rectified with turning a tap underneath .
Eventually it was traced to a vessel (?) leaking inside the boiler and water would drip from the pipe going outside. Replaced the boiler with a Bosch unit and so far so good .

 

I met an old bird in Benidorm when I went there on a lads holiday back in 1977, she was a bit of an old boiler if that helps

Lol. Its a running joke that I hate Worcester Bosch boilers. So to replace a dreadful Ferroli with a Bosch is enough to send me over the edge
