here's an idea for next week....just buy the one! You have two options: 1) write the word "complete" on it, or 2) (for a more sophisticated audience) write the letter "N" on it.... when anyone asks, you've come as a separate entity.... continuing the first theme....wear an eye patch made from felt...."I felt like a complete tit"
Not quite the same but Mrs B, my brother, sister in law and I were going to a 60's / 70's themed fancy dress party and had booked a taxi to get us there. It was a nice sunny Saturday evening and many of the neighbour's were out gardening etc. but we managed to squeeze into the taxi un seen and off we headed Taxi did about 400 yards and broke down but we couldn't get another for over half an hour so ended up walking back to the house past everyone we'd hoped to avoid! Been a while since anyone did that kind of distance in platforms too! Mr B
Turned up with work mates to a seventies bowling night. "Oh, you should have come yesterday - everyone was dressed up then" Doh!!! It was arranged by one of the project managers too!
Me and Lou went to a friends posh dinner party dressed as tramps once-- made for a very funny night as they just weren't expecting it. Told my brother our new years eve party was a pyjama party and he arrived last as usual, followed by his wife and three kids cuddling their teddys and all dressed in their best jim jams. They were the only ones we told it was a pyjama party.
he he he ... lookin good tiny ... we had a summer bbq , and decided to make it fancy dress, then a week b4 we changed our mind while at the pub ...one ''bloke'' wasn't listening ...... so him and his wife turned up dressed in rock and roll gear ....laugh we nearly bust a gut ..
Haha we also once went to a works do at a football ground, it was an ABBA tribute... we dressed up in ABBA inspired attire, got there and everyone else was in smart evening wear... we had the most fun out of everyone there x
I had a work party with a james bond theme. The big bosses expected most people to get posh frocks and tuxedos. Most people did. There were a couple of odd jobs and a few other villans. I went as Blofelds cat
6:20 on a miserable Monday morning and that raised a chuckle, thank God it's not Friday afternoon or I would have *******ed myself
We have a saying for that here its NFB, Normal For Bridgwater. It's not unusual to see people dressed up. The other day I saw a group of 6ft chickens walking through town. No one batted an eye lid. Mind you all the Polish thinks its strange. We have a good history of Carnival, theatre groups, street parades etc etc.
