Another successful week, got the engine lid and tailgate painted up and fitted, we're getting somewhere High build primer All painted & fitted up (no locks yet mind)
Yet another successful week; tailgate & engine lid locks fitted, side windows fitted and windscreen fitted..I'll let the pics do the talking Bedtime in the Morkshop
Gusbus is looking great Mark. I really like your colour scheme. Feels good putting all the finishing touches to it doesn't it! Looking forward to more updates.
Cheers fellas we have go to start flatting back the cab doors (in transporter paint) and fit a few seals, wipers and rear fog lights
We're keeping them both, that's for sure...Major is gonna have some tlc next but he'll be used when Ellie comes with us & Gusbus when its the two of us
we're certainly hoping so, we've not a hell of a lot to do on the grand scheme of being ready for an mot! It would be nice to debut at Spring Camp 2014
The past couple of weeks have seen some more progress to Gusbus, both cab doors fitted and lined up good, not brilliant due to the Klokkernocker wheel arch on the left hand door but I'm happy all the same!! Fog lights connected & working Passenger seat bolted in Cab doors
Nice work. Its looking great. Have you sat in the cab seats yet? They look really high so you're gonna have trouble seeing out of the side windows (or windscreen with the visors down).
Yeah have sat in the seats and (ssshhhh drove it up the road to turn him round) it was fine for me, I'm not overly tall and had no problems! I cant see out of the westy windscreen with the sunvisors down!
Not in anyway a critisism Mark as i think you're doing a sterling job, but why the Brazzi doors? cost or happened to have?
When we bought the doors, there was no option to buy new original style (JK etc wasn't doing them then) & cali rust free doors was a similar price to Brazi ones - Im not bothered about them having the swage line, I kinda like them
they are the factory fitted M code 046 option (which Gusbus has), the feed wire runs up the screen piller, across the door top and down the b post - try sourcing the genuine parts, I spoke to one sellar down on the south coast & he had two pairs. His words suggested he'd not sell them for £200 those are reproductions from Italy!
I thought they must be a factory option. I was tempted to buy a set of those side repeaters a few weeks back but didn't as i couldn't figure out how to run the cabling. Found them for just 18.5 euro each though on here: http://www.route-53.com/product_info.php?cPath=27_95_410_402&products_id=812
