I'll save them for you to moisten.

But am I right they were for hot air to carbs?

Yes they're redundant hot air for the solex carbs.
I fitted the big bit to fill up the holes and made a plate instead of the small bit to block the whole thing up.

Are these shot? The bit of pitting is the only one.

Knackered. The grooves shouldn't be wallowed out in the middle.

Thought so. Any recommendations for who does decent replacements please?

This is somewhere I cheap out and buy the cheapest kits I can find. My pesky rubbers have started to split after 3/4 years though. :(

I've got new boots, bolts, washers, grease. Just need the cv joints. Coolair have some at £15 each.

Where did you find these? Don't mind paying a wee bit more for decent ones.

  15. From what i can remember it was SKF direct. I think they list it for T25 or T3 but it cross referenced as the same as T2.

Shiny side down. I guess so it doesn’t hold water spray.

Trying to save myself a few frustrating moments ahead, has anyone got a trick for holding the copper rings in place when fitting the heat exchangers to a type 4 (oval port), please?
