Great (or deadly; you decide) heating solution with no need for hook up

  1. If it burns a carbon based fuel then it 100% produces CO. The fact that the combustion process is clean when there is sufficient ventilation does not mean that it is safe to use in an enclosed van. CO is a product of incomplete combustion. Not enough air to fuel ratio and you will produce CO. It’s impossible not to. This appliance appears to have no oxygen depletion sensor, so if the combustion process becomes poor, it’s pretty much guaranteed that it will spill products and kill you.

    Cheap and leathal. Like my ex partner. Buy a propex.
     
  2. So not only is it claiming more power than it can adequately deliver 3kw for a litre of ethanol....(not enough to even get me *******ed, well a bit) it's also lethal in the wrong circumstances. Worth a note to the supplier who might be clueless and find themselves in the dock for culpable manslaughter.

    Ha ha. My Origo ethanol burning stove in the boat produces eye watering steam as a combustion product and the vapour sets off CO detectors. I always have to ventilate to use it.
