To be fair it probably is a good fit for my van - the Jurgens is extremely well ventilated because of the South African build, good vents in windows etc and it is big so I have the room for it. I wont be taking any silly risks with my family and worst case scenario is I end up using it in my house....

 

You need a vent if you don’t want to steam up what ever you use ,simple physics .

As per your other thread, CO alarm not detector required - alarm makes you get up, the black dot detectors are useful to confirm cause of death....

Right I have just cancelled my order - my three year old is too important and you have all sown the seeds of doubt ! propex heater it is. If anyone has one for sale let me know!

I have a paraffin heater you can have for a very reasonable price. It’s only about 40 years old but I’ll get it out of the greenhouse if anyone’s interested.

 

But how much energy do you get in a litre of meths? (Or whatever bioethanol is.) it doesn't sound lie enough oomph to heat a van for 3-5 hours

 

Says its output is 3kw?, capacity of 1 litre (ethanol, approx 34% less energy than petrol). That won't give 3kw for long.
