  1. Will get a pic next time I go but, I have mounted the end of the copper brake tube on the bracket on the wishbone and connected the stainless hoses to this, the other end goes directly to the back of the caliper and screws into it. I have done a full range and movement check and nothing catches or moves. Not having a picture of the original in my mind because it had no brakes at all I have just done it as I see it from the Haynes or the Bentley manual.

  2. Yep got you completley. What stainless hoses did you use. I bought some but they are a direct replacement for the rubber hoses and still need the extra copper pipe at the caliper end.

Where did you get yours from?

  3. As far as I can remember I got standard Goodridge hoses for a T2. Cannot remember where from but, you can search google and get them in lots of places.

Maybe Early flexi pipe as these connect straight to a brake cylinder without the last solid bit, so are longer.

  7. Done 450 miles now and it is going well. Drove it last night from Norwich to lincoln and it was very windy on A17 and A15 it did very well tbh . Still moves the van about a little bit, the same when big trucks come past, however with no play in the steering it is alot easier to control.

Handles loads better in the corners, drove almost all the way to way to Norwich with one hand just keeping the wheel straight, like you do in a modern car.

I'm in Lincoln too, whereabouts are you?

  9. @zed - Kirton Lindsey, about 20 miles north on the A15, come up for a brew if you want?

Ah - not Lincoln itself then - thought you might be 100 yards away, it's a small world sometimes. :)
I went past KL yesterday, it's a bit far the wrong direction for my plans at the mo. I'm staying with my dad for a bit to make sure the AA don't try and bill him for picking up his car and taking it to the garage. Online AA chat thing person said he's covered but he's likely to offer to pay at the first sign of hesitation rather than argue the point, so I might be needed if only to just stand there as support. Not that he cares, he just wants to be mobile again. not something i can help with - auto box won't change gear so it'll only rev along at 20mph in 1st.
