  1. Good to hear it makes a difference, know a couple of people who have said it now. I think I might have to look into it more in the new year

  3. Sounds like an offer I can't turn down :) Problem with that is at the minute I think I want one and if I drive it then it's likely to change to needing one :)

    You around much over xmas?

  4. Yeah around for most of xmas

  5. I'll try and pop over at some point :)

  6. went for a longer drive today. it was quite windy. now, i felt the wind on the van and got pushed by the wind once or twice but i was instantly able to counter it, previously I would have been all over the road.

I drove with one hand on the wheel for most of the journey just keeping it steady.

Turning in to corners is one of the biggest revelations after the steering, it is so smooth with no dip or scariness if i turn in a bit quick.

The steering is so light it almost feels loose but it isn't it is just direct and easy to use.

more miles required, also need to do some towing and see how it fairs.

  7. @pkrboo does your horn work in the normal way with the red9? i vaguely recall something about needing to fit another horn type.. or was that the creative rack? (too much mulled wine yesterday i'm a bit hazy).

  8. Yep horn all works as normal. It's the split screens where the column is replaced where you need to sort a different horn arrangement.

It's a splitty though, splitties are comparatively straightforward to convert, the chassis isn't in the way so much.

  11. Must be a way of welding in a bracket to hang a steering rack from or a bolt on bracket like on the link

If Edd China can weld a bracket; us mortals ought be able to weld a bracket

  16. Had my Red 9 front end fitted around 8 months now and definitely cannot wait to try it out a month or two and I should hopefully be on the road, did you sort the brake lines out, I fitted stainless hoses to mine and used the brackets on the new beam, cut off the ones on the bus as they were in the way of perfect fitting. I am interested as to how yours fairs in the visual department as I decided to prep and paint mine completely in chassis black when it was brand new in a bid to keep it looking good.

  17. did you use the bracket under the ball; joint as well from your old beam?

  18. No, because I didn't have any other brackets as the beam went 3 years ago into the skip, more holes than Swiss cheese the only thing I rescued was the drop arms as they were needed for the new beam.

  19. How have you connected into the caliper? Have you got a PIC?
