    Fingers crossed for you.

  3. Are the Red 9 shocks worth fitting just on their own?

  4. hubs are and discs and calipers are on, handbrake cables and clutch cable and heater tubes are all back in.

not much more to do, connect steering up, sort brake lines out and i think thats it.

@Lime79 or @pinkarmy what did you do about the brake flexi's? or anyone else who has fitted a red9design beam

  6. Looking good. Can't wait for the first road test reports :)

  7. @pkrboo are you fitting it a maximum height (it looks that way from the pics) ie a 3" drop? do you think you'll need to drop the rear a smidge to match?

  8. set at the max height possible, approx 3 inch although i can adjust another 1/2inch at least on the coilovers to give me less of a drop.

I had 2.5" drop spindles on beofre and the rear was ok as it was. i have done the donuts at the back but i think the torsion bars have sagged a bit with age and all the westy stuff in it means it sits ok, tiny but of rake but nothing major. i'll find a pic of before i fitted this....

  10. Update time,

Everything is now connected up, steering brakes etc.

Still have to refit the gearstick
    Bleed brakes
Reconnect clutch cable at gearbox end

Re fit wheels and take it to get the tracking done

Hopefully I will be able to get all that done tomorrow morning.

Oh and I found a NOS clutch clip so I fitted that as well

This one makes it look really low but it isn't really.

It's sitting abou the same height as it did before with the drop spindles so I am petty happy, obviously it needs to settle a bit.

  17. daughters xmas play at 10 then will be off down the road for the tracking so will be able to report back then

  18. right then, first impressions.

nice slow drive to the tyre place to get the tracking done. felt ok though.

got the tacking done and drove back at normal pace, aaaaaaaaaaaaand................

    AMAZING.

low speed maneuvering is much much easier and holding the wheel with one hand on the dual carriage way was a joy. will take bit of getting use to as the steering feels so much lighter but I have much more steering feel and it is obviously 100% direct and accurate.

from a suspension point of view the van feels more planted. whereas before turning into a corner a bit quick was a scary it now doesn't seem to dip as much. bit hard to explain but it is much more controllable.

will have to take it out for a few more drives to let it settle in and so I can get more of a feel for how it drives but all in all it was definitely worth it.

so far on this first impression I would say YES i would recommend fitting one if you have the money.

Sounds like a nice bit of kit but that's about half what I paid for my whole van. I think I'll just fit a roof rack and some Jerry cans instead.
