looks ok and you have a nice wall to keep noseys out , swimming pool and footy pitch oh and chicken pen!!
After the initial panic last year that the grass on our lawn was fast being replaced by moss, I quickly learnt to see the redeeming features... now I dont need to mow it twice a week minimum during the summer months, it remains, for the most part, 'moss short', and it's also indisputably green. Win!
The boys that come to do your lawn 'experts' spread stuff that increases the ph. Which means that even though it kills the Moss to start with, once you stop using it things can end up worse than before you started! If you use an organic feed and maybe add lime if you have acidic soils, you will make the growing conditions right for the grass. Lowering the cut of the mower in the early summer (but not in a drought) will reduce most perennial weeds. A good mower with grass collection helps. Giving it a rake in spring and autumn also gives good results. It's not rocket science!
That looks good stuff. Will it rid our small front lawn of moss (70% moss, 5% weeds, what remains grass)?
According to green thumb man we've got 109msq of grass so returf would be around £1500, sod that, we've also got a large deck and patio area as well so digging the grass up is a no go, plus the dog loves to run round on it. So I'll let them sort it out for £3 a week
Mine is just under 50sqm, turfed the lot for under £200. That's including about 1\4 ton of topdsoil ! That's with decent Rolawn turf aswell
