Yes this ^^^^^^. Take a good book.

  2. I have a friend who has to go to dialysis twice a week for hours - he got a hospital acquired infection and the treatment shot his kidneys. Jeez! It's changed his life. So much sympathy, and hope you feel great afterwards at least.

  4. thank you and @Lord Congi

Luckily the wifi (although paid for) is very quick and never drops out! Therefore I can run my business, email, surf the web etc quicker than at home!

  5. I mostly feel tired afterwards but my kids don't let me suffer long!!

  6. So here is the long version (please - i am not after sympathy, just feel I owe an explanation)

When I was around 18 years of age my immune system attacked me. Nobody knows why this happened but they say its in my DNA and it was just a matter of time until it happened. The result was that it attacked the good bacteria in my stomach first leaving the acids to attack my stomach / intestines / bowel etc. As there is no way to stop this happening it progressively gets worse over time. I have had damaged bits removed now and then but it never stops. I have a permanent upset stomach and internal bleeding/infections as a result. I was only diagnosed last christmas and since then I have been taking immuno suppressants to try and halt it. I have been through all the drugs they have now so the only way is to have the strongest one intravenously every couple of weeks. This is also futile as at some point my immune system will change again and it all starts over. Next time this happens I will have my lower intestine, bowel and colon surgically removed and I will have colostomy bag for life. I will at least be cured then. To make all of this worse I have diabetes and the immuno drugs stop the diabetes drugs working so I have a constant daily battle to keep that in check too.

    So there it is.

sometimes life throws you these curveballs but I am far better off the many people out there.

  7. And then you go n get a camper , i take my hat off to you bob , your not only taking the curve that stinky life has chucked at you , you are giving it some lean and taking the corners too.
Keep up the humour thats what gets you thru init .
Hope they can do something to make things better for you in the long run .
Just something ta make you laugh maybe , we went to beachfront cafe yesterday and their was this poor chap sat next to us on his own with his bike sat next to him and obvious signs that he was going thru some life changing treatment . He had his mobile phone out and someone had obviously sent him a video or somthing and he was peeing himself laughing , well obviously i couldnt see the video , but if you heard the expleative jokes etc that were blurting out full volume well he was killing himself me too , the video must have made it more funny , but best of all he was laughing .
    Good LUCK !!

  10. Bit of an extreme weight loss programme then. I shall stop whinging about my ingrowing toe-nail (for a bit)

  11. The camper is therapy! It makes me smile and whilst I tinker away it takes my mind off things. Its honestly been the best thing I did as a personal escape. I agree that laughter is the best medicine. Thats why I am on TLB!?!

Deary me, that's not much fun is it? Maybe your immune system will do another sudden about face and stop attacking you? That would be a marvellous thing.
I hope the treatment gives you some pain and discomfort relief.
I'm trying to think of something light hearted to say but text is a bugger to come across wrong. I shall send you a photo of my cats having a cat flap stand off instead :). The white one is the bully. Big hugs x

:). These two were having a stare off for quite a while, then the white one, who was in worse position, clouted the black one round the head and pushed through.
Do your girls have a stare off first, or go directly into violence?! :)

  20. violence first every time.
