I just read an article that Europe will release another plan to reduce carbon emission, the "fit for 55" plan. Which will rise prices of fuel, gaz, heating oil, propan and all fossil energies to the point of being unaffordable. As in Belgium, we are a bit late on the EU plans, it means massive changes in housing and mobility. That we, citizens, will have to pay, Which is worrying lot's of people On the same time, I read that photovoltaic panels owners are upset because their inverters shut down when they produce the most, the grit being unable to absorb the production in certains areas. Problem known, and they promise to solve it for 2026... Oh, they gave huge incentives to install photovotaic panels, to later realise they can't finance it. So now, photovoltaic owners are taxed Go Belgium, go EU

I did wonder this myself. On the fuel situation down here in Hampshire I drove out and passed three or four petrol stations one was open but had massive queues all morning, another was shut with no fuel and the one on the A road I'm not sure, there was a car at a pump but not sure if there was any fuel, perhaps the driver was buying a sandwich.

Not all of us in the SE....! Drove to Ross on Wye and back last week, ending with about 100miles left.in the tank, don't need car, so haven't filled up.....saying that, even if I had wanted to the pumps are all empty round here, as they where all the way back from RoY last week.
For the first time since last Thursday week, we put some diesel in the doka earlier. I can walk to the workshop, and we don't do many miles anyway per week outside of essential visits to parents etc. Anyway, the Jet garage in Breaston had fuel on selected pumps but at 40 quid per customer. We were directed to our pump by an attendant all good, and halfway through the fill an announcement came over the tannoy reminding customers of the 40 quid limit. It was directed at a twonk at another pump who just kept going. He ignored the tannoy and stuck just under 50 quid in his 'adventure Caddy' without a care in the world. Seriously, it's ******ers like this who walk amongst us that won't do the decent thing who create these issues. It was so tempting to just walk over and smack the nobber but I'm older than I think I am so he had to make do with me chuntering at a volume he couldn't hear...
The free market hasn't worked with watching fottball on TV. In the good old days there was only Sky and you paid your money and watched your footy, then it was opened up and BT came along and had a chunk of the games. If you wanted to keep watching them all you need a BT subscription as well (whilst still paying the same price to Sky). Then Amazon come along and take some of the games - cue an Amazon subscription, now there's talk of a Facebook subscription to watch some of them!! So you will end up paying several subscriptions to watch the same footy that you used to watch for one price on Sky. The same with music, Spotify had it all but now the record labels are setting up their own subscription services and taking there music off Spotify. Netflix is going the same way. Bring back the good old monopolies.
