I had a Fizzy custom, and loads of AP's... Fond memories of filing out exhaust ports, big bore kits and Microns, drops etc... ah, those where the days
I thought my FS1E was huge, I saw one down at Brighton summer just gone the fella let me sit on it they are tiny
Great reading some of these comments, I never had a Fizzy but had mates who did as I had a Puch 3 speed with chrome expansion chamber exhaust. Think I've got a picture of it somewhere with me sat on it with my new 'Phil Read' replica helmet - with press stud visor !
You need to be a petrol head to own a Bay so I'm not too surprised as FS1E were the dogs back in the day. AP50 came out just after my moped year and I know they were ace too. A number of mates bought Honda SS50s - 5 speed four stroke don't you know. Stink wheels were MUCH faster though
And now 16yr olds ride scooters....I don't think the new bike tests will ever encourage the new generation into biking..shame
Mine was met blue with a big white GT on the tank, back in summer of 76 rode from Newbury to Great Yarmouth with 2 mates one on a Suzuki Gt 185 the other on a GT 125 got thrashed all the way up and back.
I had a scooter after my fizzy I think it was a triumph T10, I've never seen another, have you heard of it?
I used to have a raliegh runabout I pulled out of our local tip.... only needed a bit of fettling and I was away! Who managed to get 60mph out of their Fizzy / AP then?
