It was my first visit to the F1 and it won’t be the last was a fantastic weekend think will try club corner next time.
Bernie Ecclestone is under investigation by HMRC for tax evasion - he had £400m hidden in overseas account.
Vettel is retiring at the end of the season - you could tell that his heart hasn't been in it , with a poor car not getting to Q3 and Stroll running him close most of the time - if you are a former champion, then what's the point if you don't have even an outside chance of a win or podium now and again
I think you must start to question a lot of things once you get to a certain point in F1. Once you have a family you’d be more aware of the risks, the time away etc. The cars are inherently very safe, but if you look at the majority of bad crashes, they tend to happen in the mid pack where the Aston Martin is positioned. The Red Bull either suited his driving style or flattered him, he’s not been the driver to beat for some years. I’d love to hear Mark Webbers autopsy on Channel 4 the next time he’s on! If he’s genuine about the sustainability issues, which he seems to be, then there must be a conflict of the F1 lifestyle vs the eco issues… one thing they could do is run the American races back to back which seems bloody obvious (would also just about justify a month pass to Sky if they ran back to back)! Good luck to him on the next adventure. I wonder if we’ll see him in Formula E or consulting to F1 or FIA on green issues?
I was surprised the other night when I turned in half way through to see Shaggy Seb getting down and dirty with our political “elite”
Looks like Fernando's joining Aston Martin once Seb goes. Seems a strange move tbh given that he's got great history with alpine (renault) plus aston are not performing as well ?
