Tbf he’s not much quicker and put most of the drivers in that car and they’ll all be quicker than their own time as it’s a bloody fast car.
There was a bit of debate about this on t’wireless.... Bottas underperformed yesterday and should improve today and put some of the discussion to bed. Also, they won’t be running 100% power in practice and Russell will have to make the step up in Quali with the full settings. The argument is always there in F1 but we will never have all the drivers on track in the same car with equal conditions, so we will never know! Indeed, Hamilton’s not on track this weekend so we don’t know how far down the road he’d be this weekend Also... there’s only 4 corners on this track! I reckon my Nan could go sub 1 min
Well, that’s probably the result that keeps everyone happy. Ham still GOAT, Bottas still a Merc Driver, Russell still heir apparent. Mercedes still the fastest car.
As in almost any field, there are a lot of talented people who just don't get the breaks. Hopefully, your nephew has found a niche and can make a successful life of something he enjoys.
Thank you for those nice comments. I dont know a great deal of what he does now but he seems to be living the high life in Dubai , i think in promoting motor sport .
Understandable but Not the correct conclusion - it means that Russell is better than many people thought - but does not detract from Hamilton's success - which has been maintained over many years . After all, remember what Hamilton's impact was when he first started racing in F1 in 2007.
Should be good, wish the Channel 4 coverage wasn’t so late!! Going to have to get through the Spurs v Arsenal commentary without spoilers... BBC are quite happy to drop a F1 update without consideration for those waiting to watch!
I am defo not anti-hamilton but now he has won the title it will be great to see the 'new' drivers even if just for this week.
