Jolyon Palmer really isn't doing himself any favours, crashes again in Q1.


He seems to be out of his depth in F1.

 

First Ferrari front row lock-out since 2008.

 

So, Sauber are changing to Honda power ( contradiction in terms lately ) for 2018.
Now Honda can confidently have the 2 bottom teams.

 

Have they confirmed that now?

 

Yes, it was confirmed at Sochi this morning.

It's a tactically manoeuvre by McLaren Honda to ensure the works team do not finish last next season!!

Safety car, Grosjean and Palmer have a big coming together.
I reckon Palmer's days have to numbered at Renault. he's a real liability.

Those last few laps made up for the tedium of the rest of the race.

 

To be fair, the same was said of Grosean a few seasons back, he's turned it around a little.... unless he starts to match Maldonado's run of DNFs!!

Did anyone spot any overtakes this afternoon? I was a little distracted and did a survey of my eyelids for 10 mins but I don't remember any changing of position after the safety car... not even a pit swap?

 

At least I didn't see LH sulking like I expected.

No I don't think there was much over taking either. Very pleased for bottas though. Well deserved. Stonking start he had. Seems LH had a problem with his car, not looked into it but bot made him look pretty ordinary this weekend. Probably this win is the boost bot needed for confidence etc.

 

Must be another deal where Honda pay them in engines because seriously why would anyone want a Honda engine. I bet a few sponsors are now seeing if they can get out... mind you isn't sauber normally at the back anyway so won't make much difference.

How had alonso not told mchonda to do one yet

 

Alonso continues to be *****ed at every opportunity. Criminal for such a talented driver.
