i watched the canadian gp last week,cant believe how disappointing its become after watching for 25yrs.....

.than fcuk moto gp is on this weekend..

 

as a long term fan of F1 i can sympathise with you art b tyres and the use of have ruined F1 in the last few years - there are still good races but the lowlight for me was Monaco - such a dull race and it tested my loyalty to the sport - i've been watching F1 without missing a race since 1991, before then i dipped in and out - since i had the van i've missed a few "live" but managed to ignore the results and watched as live when i got home, what used to be the highlight of my weekend is fast becoming a bind, i actually prefer the morning or evening races now so i don't "waste" a day staying in to watch the 13.00hrs starts.

 

Ricky... that's my thoughts exactly!! As a religeous viewer too, the evening and morning races are now more attractive and tbh, I don't mind waiting to watch the BBC highlights

Monaco was terrible - to the extent that I thought Red Bull were just protesting!

But, this year aside, next year will be different... hopefully entertaining! The stability in the regs for several years and the development of the tyres is the root cause of the boredom and hopefully new aero, new engines and so on will give it a kick up the arse!!

If not... reverse grid?

 

With you on all of that! Tyres are just killing it! But what would happen if tyres did last a whole race, would that be anymore exciting. There needs to be another variable in the race, maybe the return of the fireball refuelling rigs? Start to finish would become more of a procession of who qualified fastest.

Looks like Mark Webber is leaving F1 at the end of the season & is off to Porsche to race sports cars including Le Mans.

The burning question I guess is when this STD go away who's going to fill his boots!? Raikonen was apparently favourite, but I'm dubious there would be any advantage in him doing that... I reckon it'll be a young gun from Torro Rosso to feed Vettels ego - someone compliant!!

 

oh well one of the last straight talking non influenced by the "say what we tell you toe the line brigade" is off then, i like webber i can see i'm gonna struggle to follow a driver next year kimi to red bull? that should set seb a challenge - i can't see him keeping his feelings quiet if they don't treat him as an equal.

 

Good luck to him. Think that he will get more respect from his team mates racing sports cars than f1, to me his current team mate is a right knob head.

 

on the bbc f1 site seb is now saying he should have a say in who his team mate should be........ i don't like that guy at all.
