Interesting that Christian Corner just told Vettel that "this is silly"
Maybe the golden haired boy us peeing off his boss

There's going to be some interesting interplay between team members this year by the look of it ....

Oh yes, there's going to be fireworks between Hamilton & Rosberg as well as Webber & Vettel. If Mark stays for 2014 what are the odds he takes a big pay cheque & goes to Ferrari along side his friend Alonso?

webber is a legend, last of a dying breed of driver who won't bow to the politics and says what he feels, vettel is a cock, that said if he wins the title by 7 points this year.......

  6. They should brim them with fuel and go balls out all the way and do away with all this turning the engine down rubbish. I have supported Webber for years and hope he gets a fair crack one day.

  7. I've never been a fan of vettel and today hasn't helped any that's for sure. I thought webber was excellent in how he handled it, hopefully he gave him a slap behind closed doors.

doubtful, Helmut Marco the head honcho at red but doesn't like webber but loves vettel - this was the "protection" mark was on about when he said seb would get off with it...... 3 week break now and it will soon be p.r'd into insignificance - webber will toe the line and sarcastically bring it up later in the season....... "not bad for a number 2 driver"

Now, I'm no fan of Vettel and have for these three seasons considered that he has had the best car and at least 75% of the garage. Today he may have gone up in my estimation!

All of the Olympic athletes we praised last year give everything until their last once of energy is expended, their determination to win is unquestionable. And that's what he's shown today the thirst and hunger to win. Sod, cruising home at a controlled rate, nursing the tyres... If you want it more than the guy in front, you must pass him!!

If Webber wanted it more, he had exactly the same car under him (with the exception of the tyres) and he could have given us a show or put laps in at 0.5 second above his delta! In years to come Vettel will be mentioned in the same breath as Fangio, Schumacher and Senna... when the credits roll Webber will be nothing more than a talking head.

I wish he had the bottle in the interviews to hold his hand up and say I ignored the team cos I want to win... grow some balls!! :D

the difference between olympic atheletes and racing drivers is they are EMPLOYEES they get paid to do as they are told - vettel is not a team player at the moment - that said the old phrase of "there is no I in team but there is in winner" is quite apt.

  12. Senna wouldn't have taken that crap he would have driven Vettel off the bloody road. Until that happens Vettel won't think twice about breaking team orders and overtaking Weber.

in the olden days you'd be correct, however most new drivers can't think for themselves or have a opinion of their own, webber is last of a dying breed, vettel got away with this but it will affect him.

The response from Helmut and Horner didn't give me the impression that Vettel would be regretting anything! Maybe a tap on the wrists and off to bed without any cocoa :)

  15. I watched it late on last night and Ive read the above - it seems to me it wasnt about racing to the end it was more about, carry on racing and the team wont win as your going to crash, run out of fuel, need to pit for tyres. Theres some credence in brim em up and race em to the end - the return of refueling would sort that out. But you cant do that retrosepctively during the race. The fueling and strategy is a team issue and not the drivers call! Given that they had what furel they had and the tyres they had then the approach was reasonable from the teams. What Vettel did was dishonest and he knew it. I didnt used to have much time for the Aussie whinger but hes shown his metal on numerous occasions. Its a team sport - thats where the money is for the teams, having a winner or world champion helps but its kudos. If all the teams only had one car then although wed need some more teams to fill the grid, it would be balls out racing!!

  16. Christian horner did say that they were letting them race until their last pit stop then it was team orders, and I think as Webber was in front they wanted to keep it that way.

Vettel has shown himself as a spoilt kid in my eyes. He knows he is covered by Helmut Marco, zee Germans will stick together

  17. I've just seen webbers new car he is going to drive

  18. If Vettel stays at Red Bull next season who in their right mind is going to go there unless it is just for the money and Kudos.
