quali coverage starts at 11.45pm on sky, then the pre race build up at 4.30 for lights out at 6am...... i'll just get up about 5ish i think, can't record it as i haven't got sky so i watch sky races on comp.
Edit - BBC are showing highlights of Q2/3 with an extra programme at 5.15am so it's possible to watch the BBC at 5.15 then find a sky stream for the race.

    hmmm.... 5 hours sleep.

  6. ive done 15 gp's at silverstone ...[its only 10 miles away]

the worst was 1988 it was pi$$ wet for 5 days ..

  7. Interestingly at silverstone they run on generators all the time Im lead to believe. If the genny fails it goes over to mains. Always thought that was daft until now!

  8. Ill be up and streaming in the morning! This time last year I was in Melbourne :-( I seem to remember it was pretty wet for quali then too.

One day ill be there in my bus!

  9. I think parc ferme would be inplace, if the Q3 knockouts stand. Otherwise it would be unfair.

i've got a fairly decent stream on, managed to watch bbc quali highlights then find a sky stream for the race live, only missed martins gridwalk

  14. Anyone else having problems? Every other channel is fine.........apart from the one I want to watch

are you on virgin cable watching the f1 channel? sorry i can't help, i'm with virgin but don't have that channel, i've got rtl germany on the telly (delay feed) and sky on laptop - cost of both £0.00

  16. Yeah virgin cable, what channel is rtl Germany on? It's a bit of a joke hat I have to look elsewhere tbh seeing as I pay for the full sports package anyway.

rtl germany is on a different astra satellite matey, i bought a cheap satellite box and an old sky dish and pointed it to the correct satellite for rtl, they have f1 free until 2018.

  18. Smart move mate.

it's ok for emergency back up yeah, but as i say they run a few seconds delay and show adverts, plus obviously it's german comms, i tend to have it on mute and watch sky on laptop and only look at tv for a replay or if the feed drops out on the net.

  20. Got a good live stream this morning, ta for the pointer, quality was a little lower, but I can handle that for not having to pay for sky package!!

Ill have the tv in the bus next Sunday for bbc highlights at vowo :)
