prima facie, I think many of these rituals are considered as a bit of fun, by those who take part....that and a sense of 'belonging' or showing allegience to the fraternity...maybe it's simply a good opportunity to network for some, but reading between the lines, it's reinforcing status by admission or invitation...like the countless 'private members' clubs in Parliament... speaking of private members.......
Grooming while ensuring they have something on them for future leverage? Didn't they have to burn a £50 note in front of a homeless person for initiation into the bullingdon club? "Because they can" but also reinforces power=money.
Sounds a bit like TLB though not having appeared at a gathering I cannot possibly comment on the "private members" bit
This is the thing.....is it the truth or is it just fabrication....? We'll never know because we won't be invited, and those that are will dismiss it as nonsense anyway....or won't "dignify it with a response..." arrogant sods....
