I read 5c was the limit. I have bought a cover to try and help. Failing that, I will have to use propane.

A cover will make it worse As you use the gas the bottle gets colder so a cover will just hold the cold in a hot water bottle may help
I only use em in summer if I have to at all, Calor Propane for me but it wont often be that cold in the bus itself.
I assumed that until I emailed these guys a while back.... http://www.heattracing.co.uk/produc...ter-jackets---24v-gas-cylinder-heater-jackets
sorry was on the phone and did not see the link is for a 12v heated one it seams a lot of hassle for a heater and something else to drain the battery
Where do you find these things...how does your mind work!!? You are the undisputed king of insulation and associated gadgets
You only need to heat it to start the process, once the heater warms the space up its job done. Not sure how the pipes fair on an underslung unit. Heat trace cable would solve any issues
True...an easier way would be to warm the bottle via the propex, or draw heat from the fridge, but the install would be more complicated. Propane is the easiest option, but then the bottle's taller and wouldn't fit where I'd like it to. The idea for a 12v bottle warmer would include a permenant 12v to a thermostat that switches on and off at specific temps...I looked into it ages ago, and the parts wouldn't actually cost that much, as the companies that make the band heaters all do custom spec as a matter of course. Difficult to assess the current draw until one was made up, but if it was only an amp or two, it'd be worth the effort.
Id agree but look at the jk kit. It used to have a fulham and flexi with it. Think they do copper now.
I can't see any reason for speccing copper/compression fitting over a proper barbed hose and flexi tbh....both are fitted with ptfe tape, both can leak when all's said and done....
I'm sure that was the thicker gas stuff, the normal is rotted by gas. If they are compression fittings you don't need tape.
