    Hello

this looks like it is bracketed to the floor, is that a belly pan or floor?

So did you drill through the ‘brim’ of the top hat section for each small bolt and nylock nut?

It’s only about a cm wide. Quite thin bolts I guess. But it looks quite sturdy and safe.

    Yes P. M5 bolts, 8mm head I think.
Perfectly sturdy. You can spam the top hat and stick one through both of you're concerned.

One through the chassis to hold the flat bar...

And then on my box there are 3 each side along the length of the box

Been there clinging on for 8 years now;)

Ignore my floor. It isn’t standard! Follow the bus monkey example. I understand what you are asking now!

Where’s the fetus going to gestate Stan, you going to keep it in a (Propex) box?!

    Hello!
Do you still need to use washers when using nyloc nuts?

I do. Spreads the load under the nut head, especially if the drilled hole is a bit wonky ;)
Nylocs are just rattle free allegedly!

Well it’s attached! Thank f##* for that! It wasn’t easy scrabbling around under the bus on the side of the road while balancing the box on my rather handy beer belly! And in the heat. It’s very sturdy but not the prettiest of jobs (bit like my belly). But frankly who cares.
Going to do the ducting today and I’m well pleased with the route I’ve found up through the floor for my 12v feed wire and thermostats cable. I remembered that I had removed the water storage tank to make more cupboard space. So I pulled out the old tank drain hose which for some reason I had left in at the back of the cupboard, and hey presto a perfect hole is now ready for a grommet. No more drilling holes in the van. I think there is 12v under there for the old tank pump. But I assume that would have been supplied by the main battery which obviously would not be good.
Still a lot to do but the hardest bit is out of the way. Thank you so much to @Dicky and @theBusmonkey. I would never have been able to get this far without the benefit of your invaluable experience and advice. You are both absolute top blokes. Although I suspect this won’t be the last you’ll hear of me on this project!!

Loads done today. Ducting, wiring, inlet and exhaust in place but hit a snag when doing the gas. I spliced the old 'flexible' hose with the tank turned off. The t-piece I was hoping to fit wouldn't go into the age hardened flexi pipe. (obviously it fitted the new flexi pipe to the propex.
I tried dipping it in hot water to see if I could make it softer with no joy.
So I'm thinking need to replace the old hose which goes the width of the van. But the fittings look a bit non standard?
Please see pics. And any advice please let me know. Either with the fittings or getting the t-piece in using current hose.

That's old hose P so ideally does need replacing. You'll find the fittings may be an odd thread, especially off the regulator.
Something like this below would allow you to make the connection perhaps, depending on the id of the old hose but if you're not sure then at least get it tested by an LPG qualified Gas Safe bod . In fact, I'll go so far as to say get it tested anyway. A small price to pay I guess to have piece of mind.

    @DamonW

This is the post from @Dicky Lots of really helpful stuff here. And although mainly aimed at underslung fitting, there are a lot of other gems here on different ideas. Propex leisure themselves are very helpful too.

Chris I hope you didn’t mind me tagging in @DamonW to your post. I couldn’t work out how to simply flag it it to him as a link.
    All the best
