I think you need to get it running , unfortunately at that time in the morning you will be savaged by urban foxes if you tried to go out and fiddle with the engine..

  4. It's ok. I found it. Phew!

  7. First you loose and find your engine now someone's nicked your exhaust..!

@volkswombat i had similar throttle problem that was down to accelerator cable. Twas on twin carbs and thought it was one effecting the other but after going back and to loads finally followed instructions properly and undid coupler!. Did all the tune up without the cable attached then re connected after.

  8. Only just seen this, hope all's ok mate

  9. I loosened the throttle cable and reset the throttle stop as per @Lasty
Reset carb settings to the 2 and 2.5 turns out.
Cranked over and won't fire up. Tried cranking while twisting dizzy slowly , no joy.
Checked plugs which were wet and also got fuel sprayed out the exhaust so obviously flooded.
Left it for for a while , tried again , no joy.
Poured petrol into carb throat, spluttered for 10 secs then cutout, then won't start again.
Left again in case it's flooded, then another try. Cranked over continuously for about 6 or 7 minutes, tried doing nothing, then twisting dizzy, then pumping throttle , nothing.
    Battery now going flat again.

Bare in mind the first day I tried it fired up and ran fine, just too fast.

    So what am I missing,?
Fuels getting to the carb, and obviously to the plugs as they've been wet. The carb idle solenoid works.

    Help!

  10. I'd come down but snowed under with work ... do you have a spark?

  13. I shall check that, but it must of been sparking as it ran originally

  14. Anyone got Skype ;)

  16. Not really lol !
I had seen that thread, my dizzy doesn't have a notch in body though, so I'd set it by pointing rotor at cylinder 1, as instructed on here, it must of worked as it fired up fine originally.

Tbh I feel like I'm going round in circles, now doubting everything I've done.....
So basically I haven't got a *****ing clue and every bit of info I get just confuses me more

(Appreciate all help though obviously !!! )

  17. Sorry mate ... did you find out if you have a spark ... get a spare plug and take of a lead and rest it on the engine. Just watching this thread has led me to email Fellows!

  18. Didn't mean to be rude btw, no haven't tried for a spark yet, as usual some arseholes abandoned their motor behind the van, I wanted to get my car in there to boost the battery while I try, otherwise I'll have to put batt on charge overnight and try the Morro.
