Feeling old or young

I'm not whinging about being old and I'm not bothered about my age. I just find it odd that I'm 40's, my attitudes to life and living aren't what I saw with my parents (or friends patrents etc) when they were this age and I was a kid.

Same could be said of my dad, he's 68 but still very active and travels the world arsing about. As a kid when my grandparents (his parents) were late 60's , they were stereotypical grandparents.......spent their time sitting in "their chair", didn't do much.

Suppose the generations are getting younger

 

I'm still whinging.
Doing accounts with bad back is annoying me and I have bottle of highland Park that I can't drink it due to snapped tooth medication.
Not going well in the past few days, but it's trivial crap really.

I like that too - better as in ill, or better as in both work.

well that is absolute b*ll*cks, I'm four months post a hip replacement, so two issues one I'm still recovering and secondly if I now break this leg they might not be able to put it back together properly so not going out when its wet and slippery etc ... fine for you to say otherwise when its not you and with a 6 year old son I'm not prepared to risk it any more than I need.

Ps I've mountain biked in the alps, all of the uk, Morocco, Portugal etc so I've can't ever be accused of never having been out there doing the miles.

 

didnt know that,did i,what i meant though,was that proper riding is far better than not proper riding,know what i mean?

 

and for the record,i too,have a 6 year old son,and an 11 and a 13 and im self employed,so if i have an accident riding,were all fooked!

 

yep know exactly what you mean ... but at certain points in your life you have to revaluate what is most important

 

and I'm self employed too
