Electrical issues help needed

It only takes the smallest nick in the insulation and that bare bit of wire can find a good earth loads easier than i can on a rear light cluster...

Resolved !!!!!!
Having stripped the dash , removed excess and obsolete wiring cleaned the fuse board ,the problem was the paddle indicator switch.
Knowing full well that trying to find a replacement is like finding Rocking Horse Marmitee
So dismantled and fabricated a new bridge contact bar. I just love my Dremel
Anyway it works
