  3. Love it .............the little m/cycle garage at the bottom of our road has 2 or 3 of these in storage for someone - still trying to talk the owner into letting me know whose they are!!

  5. If the tickover is to low it will bog down on acceleration
Try adjusting the screw like i said and see how it goes
It costs nowt takes and only takes a min so you have nothing to lose.

  6. Can't get a spark yet!
When running it ticks over fine. I'm talking say holding at quarter throttle and then opening it from there swiftly. In fact it's at any stage during the running.
As I've got no spark now I'm wondering if it could be the coil all along?
Obviously now it's totally fooked but might it have been failing over time?

I've been looking to buy one for a while, keep bidding but they're to far away to bid higher. Bought a tomos as it came up on my door step, it's possible to adjust the richness/ lean ness in the carb by lifting or dropping the fuel needle, check the float level and also the choke butterfly

  8. How much are they going for . Just wondering ?

  10. Around £1k gets a low milage like mine 1200 miles.
There's not much different on any of the models save that the earlier ones have no indicators, speedo and chromed mudguards.
They're harder to get MOTs for too as modern shops arn't used to them and their lack of equipment.
For circa £750 you'll get one which has sat in a shed un motd possibly non registered.
Mine came from a trader who used it to deliver/collect cars it's fully road legal and was perfectly functional prior to this issue.
    They're very able and practical.
If you get one with the carrier bag they fit brilliantly on the fiamma rack or indeed in the van/boot.
Mines an European model rather than uk so it's not restricted to 30mph it can pull my 5'10" 15 perfectly formed frame to an indicated 60kph and trust me on 5" wheels that feels like 160!
    U.K. One's are restricted to 30mph.

  16. I've spoken to the importer and he's thinking it may be the magneto. He's not technically minded but he's going from what he's sold sprees wise.

  18. I've ordered a magneto, piston rings and gasket set. I'll see if that sorts it first before buying the coil/cdi
