Cheers, I've used about a litre of primer, 4 bottles of stone chip (think there a litre each) not quite a litre of paint. Gona slot the front beam back in today, let see how much I chip it :/
No chance of riding it that low wouldn't be able to get the bump stops in lol, I'd need to get some drop spindles to get it that low and to do that I need to convince the boss that they are a good idea!
If you lower on adjusters even 2-3" you'll need to cut off the bump stop "arms". Dropped spindles you can keep them, but it'll be as low as your picture.
TBH I just put it on its lowest to see what it looked like but want it to be usable as it is going to be a well used camper but is it safe running it without the bump stop arms as i'd like it somewhere near this but a little higher.
I suspect it's running on the bumpstops, hence the hard suspension - you don't have any! If you cut them off you get another 1 or 2 inches of suspension.
The suspension arm is about an inch off the bump stop mount so if the bump stops where in it would be resting on it, gona lift it about an inch and cut the bump stops off I think :-
Tried my hand at some electrolysis yesterday - cheers Diddymen! Before After Not got it perfect but is something I'm going to try and perfect. Also got my fuel tank compartment rubbed back and stone chipped And stripped my roof off - had a busy day really Thanks for the comments boys and hope this inspires y'all when you hate your van doing all the poo jobs because it does get better an is well worth it! Also have now got my Roll over frame for sale, I would say they are a must for anyone doing this kinda resto as it makes life so much easier
Cheers boys, got all the welding on the shell done so far this week Got the back valance finished And both sides of the windscreen repaired-turned out to be a bigger hole than first though :/ Tother side wasn't too bad Then looked at the roof over the can, the PO had fitted a bee sting aerial which I didn't care for so I decided to fill the hole. Only issue been that the metal had stretched around the hole leaving it proud so after a bit of beating I witch didn't help I had to cut down where the metal was stretched and re-weld it. It was strange cutting a perfectly good panel but it has gone nice and flat once the welds pulled it in. So I can crack on know and get the interior and engine bay ready for paint
