My old radio was old tec, big and modern looking. Checked on ebay and saw a bluetooth radio hands free telephone thing that had a 70s look as opposed to 50s-60s retro sound thing and it was £13, how bad could it be. It turned up, cheapo box was split open, no instructions, the radio weighed about an ounce, it was about 2" deep but did look old. Fitted it, it sounds great and works a treat, plays all the music on me phone and spotify, how surprised an I.
I bought the same one off eBay wired it in all lit up but could get any sound to come out the speakers. Ending up throwing it away and bought Sony head unit.
Thats what I expected, I must be lucky, I wanted one that looked 70s ish with bluetooth and handsfree, I would have bought a good branded one but they all look mega modern
I think it does, it says digital FM ?, if you search ebay , retro car bluetooth usb , dozens of sellers turn up, its on Amazon as well, I just went for the best seller feedback,
They've seen you praise it... cheapest on ebay (that I can find anyway) now £15.99 Edit: Slightly cheaper came up in 'similar items' list, not a clue why not in the original search. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1Din-Car...USB-AUX-SD-In-dash-Audio-DC-12V/312422636904?
I think mine was £13.99, I bought it a few months ago but only just got around to fitting it, mine was UK stock.n You get the remote battery with that one in your link mind!
Its not DAB radio fortunately. It is just Band 2 FM. The digital is just a word. Like 'rejuvenating' face cream. If you wind it up and pump out the bass it will probably do an impersonation of a Norwegian Blue Parrot shortly after.
got what looked like a new Kenwood all singing all dancing thing from the local crushers, pulled it from a dealer trade in.. cost a whole crisp £5.. just got around to fitting it with some big old Kenwood 3 way speakers .. just about burst a blood vessel ripping out bits of the cupboards and such to hide the speaker wires,, when I got to wiring them to the speakers I appears that I had pre routed some speaker wires when I wired the van.. could have saved a few hours there.. and much frustration.. The online wiring diagram said that one feed wire is permanently live while the other is switched .. In the donor car it worked fine, but in the van the head unit won't start up unless both wires were attached together at either the switched source or permanent live ... If the switched source was adopted it meant I would need the ignition on.. so elected for the permanent live .. so now it wont switch off at the button so I just detach the head ,, bit of a pain but its cool for £5.. and sounds pretty decent ..
Yea `I do that both the red and yellow wire together to my aux battery, I think the red one is more of a switch with the yellow providing the power, if Im wrong there are people who know more about electrickery than I who will put us both right
