  3. Hi Owen
Looking at the dyno graph that you posted Paul has down a way better job of sorting the DCNFs than the bloke down here in derby did for me. Laurie P made the linkage specifically for those carbs for my engine.

  4. Im so looking forward to seeing the updates on the efi:)

  5. I've been advised to go efi for years, also been told i need to upgrade from points. But i am a staburn Illegitimate child and love the old school way :D

  6. I understand your approach holmsen
Thats why i still sharpen my axe with british oil stones instead of japanese wet stones
Theres only so much refinement i can take

Old maybe heavy, old maybe slow but old is time proven reliable

I had the S/C nearly ready to run on the dells but then decided on crank fire ignition then decided on a EFI so selling the dells and manifolds and making my own

  8. Points

I'm running a Mallory Unilite dizzy on my lump!! Nice bit of kit!!

I'm now starting to build up on my EFi install parts... Got 1 Jenvey IDF style throttle body, and a missing tooth wheel for timing it engine... Looking at using VW Golf individual coil packs to do away with HT leads too

  9. Interesting. Just mulling over if I can justify ditching the work Navara that carries my demo fire fighting unit and switch to a nice Doka that could run on the strip at the weekend.

  10. bike FI is the future.....small, compact and cheap by comparison....also, as they're designed to be squeezed into a realtively small space, and they tned to use the same TBs for different models, the sports bike stuff is modular...PM @lhu 1281.....ask him how much he sourced his TBs for:D
    same goes for COPs

  11. £ 23

  12. TB's? COP's?
There's the 1st reason I don't do fuel injection, I've no idea what you're talking about!

  14. The only reason I've gone for the Jenvey TBs, is that I'm already set up with twin 44s... so I keep the manifolds and linkage, and the filters, and it's then just a case of plumbing in the fuel rails and electronics!!

  15. And the turbo

  16. I've been contemplating it... but that requires a set of JE turbo spec pistons

  17. And ?

  18. Muchos dollars

Not to mention, another new cam

Turbo motor I was planning on saving for my bug when I get to building it!! :)

  19. It's entirely possible the world will have run out of fossil fuels by then. ;)

I'll have to come up with a "Mr. Fusion Home Energy Reactor" ;)
