Know how you feel Paul, had to have my Bichone put to sleep because of cancer, held him as the vet did the job. Felt his little body go limp, broke my heart.
Really sorry to hear your news. Handsome looking fella. Couldn't tell anyone at work when I had to have my dog put to sleep because I wasn't sure that I wouldn't start blubbering. It was weeks before anyone knew. He was only 9 and looked gorgeously healthy and we'd got a new puppy to join him a few months before. So it was out of the blue when he got ill with had an inoperable tumour. Was poorly 10 days and then we had to say goodbye. Very sad. Ever the optimist I hope to hear that your pet rallied and recovered fully.
