My parents dog Laddy has been very ill the last few days... I'd not said anything as he was starting to get a lot better... Long story short, the vet initially thought someone has poisoned him with rat poison... we have none out at the moment, and any that could've been out is always in a dog proof place, and the routes that we walk are regularly walked by 6 or 7 other dog owners... So after several injections, he had been doing a lot better, but tonight he just collapsed in the kitchen and we had to lift him into the car on a towel... Just waiting on the parents getting back to say that he's been put to sleep Initial thoughts are that he had doggy cancer... but something that's not showing up on x-ray!! Explains the sudden downturn after the getting better for the last 2 days!! Feeling totally crap right now
Sorry ta hear that paul, like humans they do tend to rally a bit , i had three springers n lost them all to cancer ,i put it down to change of diet too this dried beta field stuff , poisoning sounds terrible, poor chap, rough time for you n your parents , big gap to fill . Take care Barney
Thinkin of you, Paul... worst thing in the world short of losing a family member/friend! They can never be replaced but I'm sure Laddy gave you all some fond memories and he had a great life thanks to you.
