My bus has broken down a few miles away im going to have to leave it there for the night and try and find the fault tommorow :'(
Im thinking its an electrical problem It cranks over but doesent try to fire theres fuel in the fuel filter and i can smell fuel after cranking it a few times It was driving fine i pulled up for ten minutes and when i tried to start it again it wouldent start
Im unsure holmson to be honest If i have then ive fried my new electronic ignition and maybe damaged the coil Im proper gutted as i was picking my daughter up from the bus stop then i was going to collect the wife from work and have a drive out to get fish and chips This would have been the first full family ride out in her for about 6 years I hope the bus is going to be ok parked up elewhere for the night
Going to go up with tools tmw malc dude First thing to check i guess is that im getting voltage at the coil
Ive checked the wires are where they should be and are connected I went back in the car an hour n half later and it still wouldent start Not hot start problem as the starter cranks and cranks the engine Normally when somthing like this happens its somthing done recently and the last two days ive fitted a new dizzy and rebuilt the carb The bus ran better than it ever has before on the drive there so its got to be somthing simple i hope
daft thing but did you tighten the dizzy clamp? cant you get it recovered or a mate and a rope? if not you will have to spend the night in it
My mrs doesent drive Its too close to use the AA to bring it home and ive no mates up here Having a few beers now and ill go back to it in the morning no point over stressing about it
Dizzys not turning its tight in the clamp However the stud that holds the dizzy clamp to the case has partially stripped in the case so i cant get it fully tight I was wondering if this would cause an earthing problem
