Looking good mate, somehow I'd previously missed the 1st half of this resto. There's going to be an exodus from this restoration section next year!
lol....the good thing with restos is that they go on forever .....well at least until the next project!!!!
little update, been a bit slow recently due to life so the engine is stripped and cleaned ready for rebuild (I say stripped, its not totally stripped, just enough for a good scrub) fuel tank is out, found some rusty patches which have since been patched and spent tonight painting the tinware that doesn't get seen lol all the rest of the filthy crap has been cleaned and is ready for paint......hopefully in the next update we might see some colour - BOOM!!!!
so armed with my new gun I started spraying, two coats of primer first then as I felt brave went for the top coat for the tinware etc.......paint went really well given the conditions and set up....i.e. my camper is now a spray booth lol there are a few runs and a few small bits that need going over but over all I'm a happy bunny BOOM!!!! theres some colour for you Dale
lol, how was the new gun I thought you would have got some colour in the engine bay too ....and at least one side of the bus done while you were at it
looks great matey, cant wait to get my engine bay clean and welded up enough to get some paint on it!
thats more like it bro ...now how about some shots holding the brown tin ware up next to it for comparison
that looks a pretty damn good colour combination I was worried that on the tin ware it looked lighter than when the paint was in the tin....... but they look really good together
engine bay starting to take shape, riveted the above grills on last night, a few more little things to sort and fingers crossed the engine will go back in on friday
So its been a while since my last update....personal Marmite happened but im back on it and it also means my living room is now camper oarts storage ...anyhow, painting has now commenced. ..... Back in the game
