There was that white 1303 in volksworld a few years ago that had a centrally mounted draw thru system with a holley 4 barrel carb on it... buggered if i can remember the name of it tho!! but a turbo is better.. you're using waste to produce more power, whereas a supercharger robs power to run...
We'll have a go this winter changing my 2,4 T4 from a more "raceish" to a "dieselish" kind of engine. Less bhp more tourqe. So, next scc our hope is, That Jørgen, new owner of my old Blueboy, will close up on sub 16, and me, a camper that feels just like it had a "Best engine for a bus" I'll take pics and let you know how goes and what parts being used/swopped from Jørgen's 2056ccm.
I get totally lost when I read the stuff from Paul and Holmsen. You blokes are incredibly talented. And I'm jealous. I ain't got a clue when it comes to this sort of stuff.
I'm not doing anything with it myselves, just hope what i liked to be done with it is the right things to do
Low down torque is more usuable on the street than high revving bhp especially in somthing as heavy as a bus Im not new to engines as such but im new to carb fed and air cooled engines so im really interested in this build holmson
