  1. Have had a problem about fuel vapors in the interior due to the "T" bar (15a) wich was absent in my bus..... but, how do you change the green ones???

  2. I've had fuel vapours for a while now. I'd checked all my breather pipes and they looked fine, but this post prompted me to check the fuel filler neck.

All I can say is thank you. I've no idea how close to the wind I've been sailing (is that a saying!?) but it looks like a disaster averted. Engine is getting a rebuild now anyway, so it's all getting renewed regardless. I'll post pics when it's done.

Priceless advice on here again. I know in part it's all about the adventure of finding it out yourself, but it never hurts to have sound advice on tap

  3. The green ones are behind the fire wall easy if you have a type 4 engine, engine out if you have a type 1 :)

  4. Hi all . I have replaced the breather connections everywhere apart from behind the fire wall ! I just can't seem to get the wall out ? 1700 type 4 engine . What am I doing wrong ?

  5. Have you found the two 'hidden' screws at the bottom of the fire wall?

  6. Crawl under the van with a torch and a Philips screwdriver, you will see two screws one in each corner of the firewall. :)

  7. Oh yeah I forgot about them !!!! There Under the bus I couldn't find them last time I looked !!!

  8. And is there anything else that needs removing in the engine bay to get the wall out cheers guys

  9. Carbs and snail fan...and a few bits of skin off yer knuckles!

  10. Ok I might try that myself but I'm new to all this so removing the carbs sounds daunting ! But I'll give it ago !!!

  11. Its easy and you can check the rubbers on them too. :)

  12. So picked the van up today and thanks to this thread had a look at the pipes ,I will let the pic do the talking [IMG]

  14. So have we agreed which supplier is best? I'm going to replace all of mine plus try the filler hose with the engine in.

  15. @Paul Weeding did you have a look at my filler pipe yesterday. Going to double check the hoses at lunchtime

  16. I didn't, but if you pop the filler cap off and poke your finger in there, you'll soon feel/see if there is a crack in it!!

  17. Magic.

  18. The bend is rubber but the down looks plastic? Is this correct?

  19. I was looking at this on mine this weekend, hence sore neck (me not filler) . Mine is the same as on second drawing on the diagram below, with 26 and 27 being rubber and the bit between being plastic.
