Looks really good. To save me having to read (I only like photos), are you doing all the work yourself?

  3. unfortunatley not bud, i've got loads of kitchen door type hinges at home, and as all them ones on the website, they need an 11mm deep cup to take to door side of the hinge, my oak faced ply is only 9mm thick, so i cant router it out to 11mm for obv reasons :-( major bummer though, as they were the type i wanted, but shouldve used 15mm board. I will do next time, but this 9mm stuff came up at the right time and was almost free, lol, so cant turn it down :)

  4. Shame :( cant you just laminate a piece of ply on the back where the hinges are and also on side where the hinge goes?

  5. yeah i could do, but that would then mean relying on the glue to hold it all in place. this could be a good idea though, i might look into it a bit nore, as i dont really wantt o mount the doors over the openings instead of in them, plus it means cutting more doors, and then the grain wouldnt line up etc..... will have a look on that site again, and see what i can do :) i'd deffo rather use these than any others.......

  6. bit more progress on the engine side of things......some of you may well know about the problems i've been having with my "new engine" i say new as in i bought it from a chap i know well, who bought it from some chap on ebay. It came with a reciept to prove its age and authentity as being a heritage / vege engine (my mate cant remember nor can find the paperwork, but assures me he read it)....

Anyhoo.....i've spent about 6 months changing parts, carbs, dizzy's, carbs, dizzys, carbs, fuel pumps, carbs etc etc and finally i'd had enough, so i removed the engine again on saturday......

Took it all apart for the first time, including splitting the case (massive thanks to the guys from TES who were doing a tech talk at volksworld show for giving me some more knowledge to want to take this on) and i found that whoever built the engine originally has decided to put the cam 4 teeth out from where it shuld be......BANG!!! THERE'S THE PROBLEM THEN me hopes!!!!!

    watch this space.....

  7. right then :)

Arthur has made his 1st ever drive anywhere, and he made it, home sweet home is where he resides now :) Only a 5 mile journey, but a big step in the grand scheme of things i think, im well chuffed....now to go to work in him tomorrow, and get some tax 2mo afternoon, and thrash some miles on him as soon as possible, so im confident we can go away in him next bank holiday :)

WOOHOO - ARTHUR IS HOME, ARTHUR IS HOME, ARTHUR IS HOME - WOOHOO ARTHUR WORKS AND MOVES UNDER HIS OWN STEAM, MOVES MOVES MOVES, YIPPEE.............

Can ya tell im a little excited, lol......

  13. well so far this week i've done 4 days to work and back, so about 20 miles in total, then though, bugger it....im going to T2D open mornin this morning, so me and the missus jumped in and off we went, had a good morning, and managed to get there and back no problems.....

Faith has been restored, thats all i can say, 120 miles there and back no problems, just a little weepy oil leak from the rocker cover, then went over to some friends for a bbq, took the van there aswel, another 30 miles :) thats 150ish miles in one day, problem free - HOW CHUFFED AM I???? VERY CHUFFED THATS HOW MUCH O0
