Anyone planning a holiday in Greece this year?

I never would, after the last time. All that plate smashing cost me a fortune...

 

What population doesn't want to have a "better" life? No more dim/dumb than the people of the UK or wherever. How many people in Britain built their entire life on credit?

 

For anybody that's interested try reading "how do we fix this mess" by Robert Peston.

If anyone is interested in a good read about this sort of thing then Boomerang by Michael Lewis is a fine book. Each chapter chronicles countries and the insanity of the 2002-2008 period. Greece, Ireland and Iceland all have their own peculiar reasons for their unique messes. The chapter on Germany will crack you up and well the yanks deserved everything they got.

 

Aaaagh. Now you've made me buy another book. I'm about 2 years behind in my reading.

 

Both those books sound interesting so I've ordered those for my kindle.
