It's not as easy as it used to be, just knock together from any direction. Now it's all tip and click which makes it a pain to get under door linings. I always try and start on the wall with the most obstructions. If it all goes pear shaped I was never hear.
hard to understand this one, you have done all the work to refurb your kitchen and prepared ready for laying your floor and went out and purchased the flooring, but you are looking to let a stranger lay it for you. When I had my flooring done and carpets laid, I bought it all locally and the supplier used their own recommended fitters, which charged the going rate and did a great job. Its the unknown fitters I would be wary of.
I said initially I was looking to save time, but the people that have been to look so far have kind of made me realise that I should just do it and forget doing the bedroom before Christmas.
For that area and price i`d forget about the supervision side of things and both of you get stuck in . I`ve laid quite a few and it`s not difficult once you get the knack but far easier with two , even if one is just standing on the first couple of rows to stop them moving . If there`s two of us one lays the flooring whilst the other passes planks and does the cutting - outside if possible !
Just wack a few big nails through the 1st row, then you can smash the others together as hard as you like
Ha..... sure I saw someone post somthing locally on FB asking for someone wanting to do a foriegner with 30m2 of laminate.....
Tough time of year...... very busy...... everyone and their Mum wants a new carpet down before Christmas....
The best of this is, I work for the countries biggest flooring distribution service. We know fitters all over the country that would sort this out pretty quickly and cheaply for me, but this time of year they are flat out.
I did the t25 and gave myself a pat on the back.... At one stage we was going to get our kitchen done ,we had a selection of tradesmen come ,trouble is , I did'nt trust any of them...
Look if you have prepped it and going to do the skirting, hang the doors' you must now what you doing what type of flooring you putting down, solid, engineered, T & G glue or clip-in?
