Mine leaks worse than it did before a full rebuild. I've been a mechanic for over 30 years and built it with total care and attention to detail. Read all the info I could and watched the bug me dvd. Also bought the best seals etc. Very disheartening.

Mine doesn't leak as far as I can see and uses about as much oil as the manual says it should. It's only done 80k miles, so why should it leak?

Is it a battery powered electric bus then ?;)

  6. The only time mine leaked was when I changed the strainer. I didn't have a torque wrench that went down to 9ftlbs. So I just nipped it up.
It leaked for a while but I kept nipping it up till the oil stopped.
    No more leaky.

  7. Mine didn't leak at all until I took it onto a rolling road to set the carbs up.

  8. Seems I'm going to be one of the few with a none leaking engine ImageUploadedByTapatalk1462100625.361501.jpg

  9. I may regret writing this but Myrtle doesn't leak and hasn't in the 1500 miles since PW rebuilt it (bit around oil pump at first but gasket hadn't seated properly. I swapped that and all good since then).

Cue certain Amoco Cadiz type incident in the next 100 miles

  10. Not a drop from mine. To be fair it's still in my neighbours garage waiting to be fitted. I can only hope when it gets in @Paul Weeding has made it leak proof(ish).

Mine leaks but I'm thinking if it gets stolen I would be able to follow the trail and get it back

  12. Pushrod seals on no. 3 leak, but not too much - had intended to do them at a T/E but after seeing Rick's problems when he did his a couple of years ago I chickened out!!

  13. No leaks yet!..but I think not having oil in yet is helping that...

  14. mine doesn't leak, then it does, then I fix it, then it doesn't, then I use it, then it does, then I fix it, then it doesn't you get the idea.
and for some reason it never from the same place, perhaps one day I will have fixed them all!
    Then start again

Mine leaks but gave up caring.

This is rather suspect so will have a look at this another day.

That's an impressive collection of fittings.

  17. Would be more impressive if they didn't leak.

  20. I had @PeaSoup old engine off him. It isn't leaking at the minute I've had a new bit of cardboard underneath it in the garage to see how it fairs. All good so far.
