Anyone got a type 4 engine that doesnt leak any oil at all?

    We bang on about what good motors they are to our lawn mower driving colleagues and spill more oil than the Amoco Cadiz!

    Whats the story?

    Majors leaks oil, he has a drip from underneath and also the oil seal has contaminated the clutch..its been like it four years!

    Silly question. You know what they say ' If your engine doesn't leak oil, then there's none in it or someone has nicked your engine!'

    Mine leaks but I think it's part of its character, I'd miss the pools of oil if I repaired it, also the lovely smell of burning oil as it drip drips onto the exhaust saves on air fresheners

    Who's bus leaks/burns the most?

    Mine goes from full to empty in about 700 miles :)

    My LT might take some beating. The diesel straight six burned oil from new.Mine has done 75k now and I fill and refill it most camping trips over 250 miles!

    Me actually, been in the garage for the last 3 months, with regular starting up and running etc, and not one drop. Rather unnerving actually.

    Before we fixed it at Techenders, Darren vdub bruvs van was burning 1 litre oil per gallon of fuel. 5litres per 100 miles. :D

    Well thats three people i dont believe so far. Mine doesnt leak if i dont run it.... It doesnt count. As for using it then thats cheating.

    Mine doesn't leak and doesn't use oil either. been like that since I got it.

    Mine used to use 5litres every 200 miles. When I pulled the engine I don't think there was one spot that wasn't caked in oil. Now he is much better but I still get the odd drip and regular top ups

    Mine didn't leak at all one year ...i was even allowed to park it on the father in laws drive , but not any more .
