Another 3 weeks at least

  1. I’m guessing after three weeks we will start to see a phased opening of shops again, but with social distancing still in place. Then they might monitor the infection rate for a bit and if it’s still low then allow say gyms and swimming pools etc. Then monitor again. Whilst asking vulnerable people and care homes etc to remain on lockdown

I think they expect this to carry on killing people in low numbers for a good few years yet. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a situation where it kills a few thousand a year like flu does and unfortunately until we get a vaccine or herd immunity if such a thing ever exists then I think these deaths will just become the new normal. In some ways a bit like society views cancer deaths, awful but inevitable.

  2. Can you not FaceTime or video talk with him ? I get to talk to mine once a month if I’m lucky .

Needles will be mass produced and quickly too. The syringe bodies will be mass produced at the same rate, cheap to make.

  11. So the pharmaceutical companies are going to make a fortune out of this - it is almost as if they planned it this way - no they wouldn't do that

Maybe I will do the tidying I’ve been avoiding within the next 3 weeks :)

I have heard tell it’s going to be difficult to get medicinal drugs after December due to brexit difficulties.

Illness is big money for companies like Big Pharma, were talking billions of dollars in profit..would they plan it this way? Makes you wonder!

:p I think you may be right!! I’ve even shifted my work van up to the farm so I don’t have to contemplate tidying it!

  20. One the interviews on TV with a health official said social distancing will ideally need to be in place for at least another 12 months. He said they're hoping to start rolling out a vaccine within the next 12-18 months.

This showed up on one of the news websites this morning.
Only nine per cent of Britons want to return to life as normal after the end of the lockdown triggered by coronavirus pandemic, according to a poll.
I often wonder who they actually ask in these surveys.
