Your Bentley manual has the details, but here's what you're aiming for.

Tricky to tell from the angle of your picture but I suspect it's not enough.

  3. Tried washers nuts, everything. There is No way that Spring on the gearbox will pull the pedal back up. Something is just not right.

Do we have the full picture? Is it only the clutch cable you've changed?
From another of your posts I think you've had the engine out recently?

The lever return spring end has come adrift from it's stop. Think that's right.

  11. Yeah just had a look on-line and seems to be right, maybe worn? but thought John would have picked this up in the refurb.

  12. Tried the washers even tried a small piece of tube cut off but nothing seems to work. :colour drain:

See the pic with small piece of tube as had no washers to hand. Tried different lengths but nothing seems to work.

What happens if you pull the cable from the lever end to lift the pedal up? Do you have enough thread to take up that slack plus some more?

Start point is to do that and take up the slack with the wing nut. Then you'll need to tighten it more until you feel that 25mm or so free play at the pedal.
Your Bowden tube bend looks perfect.

  16. Can you press the full size image when you post your pictures please mate
I find it hard to see the thumb nails and when I try to zoom in the image just keeps pinging back.

How easy is it to move the arm with no cable connected?

  17. It is stiff and returns well, moves about 40mm

  18. And how easy is it to move the cable in the conduit
I’m wondering if the cable is snagging somewhere

  19. seems to move freely, does the arm move further than what you can push with you hand? is the tension in the spring just to keep tight and the arm moves further when you depress pedal?

  20. #realization.........the play in the arm is the tension not the clutch engaging.
Jesus.......all fookin day what a TiT.

few more washers and we should be good to go...........

Ball Joint boots perished was going to give it ago but after this maybe its garage time.
