There was a place like this between Loughborough and Melton Mowbray - some old fella had a farm, he had a spare field on said farm - long before euro green rules on dumping engine oil into the water table people used to dump their scrap cars there. Over the years it accumulates - and some people don't run it as a business, as mentioned, they simply hoard. The issue is, anything stored on wet grass/soil dies far far quicker than anything stored on a hardstanding. I agree there might be some bits and bobs worth saving - but this stuff ain't barn finds - and when he put it there, it was worth buttons! BTW, the eastern block stuff is rare and sad to see in that state....
Now why did I have to see those pictures.... Makes me sad to see them in that state but no doubt to the right person lots there worth a few bob now. Surprising what still lying around.
Drove past the one near me today so thought i would take some piccys, all too far gone to be of any use, still intrigues me tho , must be 40 odd cars/mounds in there Phone pics im afraid
Amazing is all I can say and sad too. I could spend a day just looking and photographing the decayed scene of that Scottish field. If I ever saw a T2 dumped near me I'd be asking for it for parts at least.... not that I have anywhere to put another.... lol
i have grovelled through no end of places like this in derbyshire look underneath them and most of them are jacobs cream crackerd . remember they would be very sick motors to be there.
