Haha, behave, the panel wipe and bloody great big roll of masking paper was left over from when me and my mate sprayed the whole thing about 6 years ago.
Come to think of it that's probably how long the two old tins of primer had been stuck under the bench, no wonder they didn't work properly.

 

I love the soft smooth look of primer.

 

I feels lovely and smooth. Especially the bit where a vandal smashed it. @MK-Bay I had to get a specialist body shop in to sort it, cost me thousands.

Looks like theres a good shine to it.

Really want to redo mine as its 'temporary' coach paint job has been on 10 years now.

I'm hoping that if I can get it to look acceptable the coach paint will become permanent. My thinking is that I could sand down, fill and paint a small repair in a field afterwards and a bit of wet sanding, buffing and a polish would blend in and be undetectable.

 

A 1" brush for the fiddly bits and a small roller. It's dry now but I'm going to leave it until Monday till I give it a sanding. My roller was an old fluffy one I found under the bench in my shed and even though I'd shaken almost all the sawdust out of it I think there was still a bit left.
Monday I'm going to buy some brand new foam rollers and see how that goes on.
I'd thinned the paint with about 25% white spirit but it's a bit of a faff so I'll probably try neat paint for the next (final?) coat.

 

Looking good, Bob, but I think your 'new front end' is safe as I'll keep my distance in future!
