Haha, behave, the panel wipe and bloody great big roll of masking paper was left over from when me and my mate sprayed the whole thing about 6 years ago.
Come to think of it that's probably how long the two old tins of primer had been stuck under the bench, no wonder they didn't work properly.

I love the soft smooth look of primer. :)

I feels lovely and smooth. Especially the bit where a vandal smashed it. @MK-Bay :) I had to get a specialist body shop in to sort it, cost me thousands.

Really want to redo mine as its 'temporary' coach paint job has been on 10 years now.

I'm hoping that if I can get it to look acceptable the coach paint will become permanent. My thinking is that I could sand down, fill and paint a small repair in a field afterwards and a bit of wet sanding, buffing and a polish would blend in and be undetectable.

A 1" brush for the fiddly bits and a small roller. It's dry now but I'm going to leave it until Monday till I give it a sanding. My roller was an old fluffy one I found under the bench in my shed and even though I'd shaken almost all the sawdust out of it I think there was still a bit left. :(
Monday I'm going to buy some brand new  foam rollers and see how that goes on.
I'd thinned the paint with about 25% white spirit but it's a bit of a faff so I'll probably try neat paint for the next (final?) coat.

  20. Looking good, Bob, but I think your 'new front end' is safe as I'll keep my distance in future!
