I must have pushed too hard last night I seem to have pulled my groin It's sore this morning but I didn't feel a thing last night Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Easy done, it'd be a miracle if you didn't get a few niggles during the first few weeks, get some ice on it
Will they ice help it heal or just soothe it? Will a days rest be ok or should I be giving it a bit longer? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've taken ibuprofen and will rest today and see how I go. Gutted really as I was on cloud 9 yesterday Amazing feeling when I managed it and I had such a buzz for about an hour after. I can't wait to get back out and do it again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Don't push it too early and have to have more time resting. My young self played a lot of sport and my most annoying injuries that took time to heal properly was Achilles' tendon and groin strain. They were ones that I would think I had recovered from and then I'd do a sprint and do it again! I think warming up and also warming down is v important
I suffered from loads of running injuries , that is why I had to give it up.... On the bike I have had no injuries ,except when I fall off....
I've just picked up a road bike for £50 I need to adjust the gears and brakes. Then get some normal peddles and a helmet and I'll be out on the roads Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's got these peddles on that clip into cycling shoes But he gave me this old frame to take the pedals off Is there any reason why they will be no good for the road bike? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Cycling is another game where you can spend a fortune on kit etc. the Shimano are SPD pedals (look like old style mountain bike ones) and you would need a pair of cycling shoes with the correct fittings (cleats) on the bottom. The advantage with being clipped in is that pedalling efficiency is improved and your feet won't slip off. The other pedals should work no problem on the road bike but you won't win any competition for being up to date and you will need to practice to make sure you can remove your feet from them.
Cheers I'm not bothered about being up to date Just looking forward to getting out and going for a ride The bikes brilliant compared to anything I had when I was younger It's really light in weight Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hit a problem with the normal pedals They are wobbling on the spindle but I can't get a socket or a spanner on them to attempt to nip them up Is there a special tool? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes there's usually one on those old fashioned bike tools we all had as a kids Also sometimes there's an Allen key slot on the inside
